In 2013 Upper Mountain Fire Company lead Niagara County in calls by volunteer agencies with a total of 1,368.

For every call on that sheet, there is an empty chair at a dinner table, a bed that is missing a warm body,  friends who had to go on to have fun without us, or the brave few who would wait at the hall until we could return. 

This type of commitment is not only the result of hard work by our members, but made possible through the understanding and sacrifice of our family and friends. And we would be remiss if we didn’t give a special THANK YOU to all the mutual aid companies who put their faith in us when they need assistance. There’s a lot of ‘US’ in those numbers.

We won’t jinx ourselves by hoping for a slower 2014, instead we’ll just hope for the best, and prepare for the worst…as we always do.
